The Chinese Embassy in Canada issues the following notice regarding the new requirements of application for the Green Health Code :
I. New Requirements
Starting from April 4th, 2022, All passengers who are planning to fly from Canada to China directly will be required to take the last PCR test within 1 day before boarding, and then apply for the Green Health QR code with ‘HDC’ mark to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in Canada.
In addition to the above mentioned new adjustment, an additional rapid antigen test shall be done within 12 hours before boarding. The antigen test shall be done by any medical institution, hospital, or pharmacy recognized by the Canadian public health authorities.
The airlines will strictly check the QR code, the personal health monitoring form and the negative result of antigen test.
II. Inactivated Vaccine Recipients
For those who are fully vaccinated with inactivated vaccine (BBIBP-CorV, CoronaVac, Shen Zhen Kangtai, etc.), the requirement for IgM antibody test within 2 days before boarding is replaced by the last PCR test within 1 day before boarding. That means 2 PCR tests within 2 days before boarding.
III. Passengers with infection history
If you were diagnosed with COVID-19 or tested positive for PCR or IgM antibody (not due to vaccination), you are considered as having an infection history. In this situation, you shall meet other requirements while applying for the QR code with ‘HDC’ mark. Please contact the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General for details.
